Water Turned Off
The following story was received from a resident of Marcus Court:
"An Update from the Third World (Marcus Court, Brentford Dock)"
Thames Water turned our water off this morning (Monday 31st January) for planned maintenance to try to fix a problem from last week that caused low water pressure. After having spent the day digging hard and trying to find various stop-cocks, they have given up for the evening. No copies of the correct ‘services plan’ seem to be available at the management office. Our block director tells me that a project was in hand a year ago to get proper services drawings collated but that it hasn’t been actioned yet.
Sue Green at the office suggests that we should go down to the management office with a ‘suitable receptacle’ for emergency water supplies, and her boss at Pinnacle Psg (Roy O’Sullivan) says that the management office toilet will be available for use by all until midnight… …and maybe Thames Water will install a temporary standpipe. Sue also says that they are coming back tomorrow… …to shut off even more of the estate. (Why couldn’t they have done that today?)
If the management office had a complete set of service drawings before getting Thames Water in, none of this would have happened… Anyway what’s wrong with a night in January with no toilet flush or running water, well over half of the world’s population has to deal with these problems everyday… but they don’t have to pay our level of service charge, do they?
All this is brought to you by West London’s premier residential estate… I thought that the home page of Pinnacle Psg’s web site sums it up perfectly:.
"While there will always be successful initiatives that can be repeated from contract to contract, the essence of what Pinnacle Psg offers must be unique. We are different and we must make that difference count for every client and customer. The commitment to continual service improvement and innovation drives our business and provides the basis for customer and client satisfaction."
