How you can use your old and new TV sockets
ITV-Digital went into receivership in May 2002.
FreeView is now transmitting free-to-view channels on their frequencies. You need a buy a set-top-box (£90-100) to view FreeView. You do not need to pay a subscription.
"Old" ITV-Digital / Ondigital set-top-boxes can receive FreeView. They need their Smart Card removed and may need re-tuning.
